Hi Loves & Welcome! I am a happy 30 something woman trying to navigate the crazy and exciting world of work, marriage, the process of starting a family and all that comes in between. My family always said that I liked to discuss hard topics and that is definitely true. I can learn so much by just listening to the opinions and ideas of others and that is really what excited me the most about starting this blog. I want it to be a great place for women of all ages to come and discuss important topics, share food recipes, talk about how to keep life organized and moving along, and have some laughs along the way!
My husband and I got married just over 1 year ago. We purchased our first home together just over 3 months ago. We also got our first puppy just over 3 weeks ago! Lots of fun changes in life, and a few setbacks scattered in-between, that I look forward to sharing with each of you. I am a Vice President at a school which keeps me busy with traveling and keeps me challenged with learning how to balance it all!
Is this blog for you? Check all that apply….
- Your Pinterest board is filled with creative DIY ideas that you will work through eventually, when you have the time. When you do get to the projects, even if they go awfully wrong, the sense of completion and fun you had when doing the project was ALL worth it!
- You balance a full schedule of family, work and love to connect with others to figure out how to do it all, with a smile (and a glass of wine) of course!
- Curating a home full of small trinkets of the trips you took, memories you have, recipes that remind you of a moment in time, make you excited!
- You love to live a full life that is uniquely yours.
If you said “yes” to any (or all) of the above, than I think this is going to be the start of a great friendship! I hope you will join me on this journey to live a thoughtful, creative, inspired life.
Fun Facts about me:
I love the food network.
Seriously, a Saturday morning sitting on the couch with a cup of coffee, my husband resting beside me, and my puppy by my feet watching Giada or the Pioneer Woman cook away, is my happy place. I may not even make half of the food they are whipping up, but it is just so relaxing!
I am a city girl living in the suburbs.
My home in Philadelphia was just perfect. I was within walking distance to one of the best restaurant rows in the country and there was always a festival or street fair going on that kept me busy. My husband and I outgrew that space and made the hard decision to forgo the restaurants, beer gardens, perfect location for suburban life. To be honest, I miss the city less than I thought I would. Our backyard now is worth every sacrifice.
I manage over 25 people across the country. And I love my job!
I work for a higher ed institution that has campus locations across the country. I manage employees in each of the locations. It really keeps me challenged on a daily basis, teaches me about how to be a strong leader and allows me to continue to grow professionally. It also keeps me traveling on a weekly basis.
I want to move to Tuscany.
My husband and I had the most wonderful honeymoon traveling through Italy. I still have a lot of family in Italy and I would switch places with any of them (just for a summer) and would drink my way through the Chianti Wine region and eat my way through every small trattoria in Italy. Just heaven! I come from a long history of family wine making and we continue with that tradition every year.
